Generation 5 is our latest product. The CAVITAT (Ultrasonograph) CAV40000-1 was cleared for commercial distribution by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on February 15, 2002. Reference # K011147.
Indications for Use:
The CAVITAT (Ultrasonograph) CAV40000-1 with WinCav software provides an ultrasound-based, three diminsional image of the aveolar process of the maxilla and mandible as an adjunct to standard radiographic evaluation and clinical diagnostic procedures.
The clinical significance and correlation of the CAVITAT (Ultrasonograph) images, including column height and color grading, has not been established for specific osseous pathology, or normal bone. Positive images represent alveolar regions that attenuate ultrasound signals.
Generation 5 CAVITAT's feature a new one piece, integrated mouthpiece array that maintains the resolution at 64 pixels per image. This one piece design is balanced, allowing the user to generate a more accurate placement and image. The image size is 1/2" square. Generation 5 Units come with upgraded software that allows 8 multiple images to be displayed simultaneously and runs on MS Windows XP and Vista.
The Generation 5 is based on all the engineering data obtained from the Generation 3 & 4 and is incorporating new patented technology using updated software and patented flex circuitry. The New CPU utilizes the latest technology to integrate and downsize the circuitry to miniturize and combine the A to D and Pulse Reciever functons into one Circuit Board.
The Generation 5 is the first imaging system in the world to be certified RoHS compliant!
The Cavitat computer generates a digitized perspective 3-D image from analog signals received and converted to digital in Cavitat's patented analog to digital circuitry.
The image being viewed is not a negative type as viewed on an x-ray but a computerized image rendition from sound waves received on the Cavitat array. Surface imperfections or necrosis may not appear as viewed by eye.
